Not Just an NFL Star, Peyton Manning’s Augusta National Achievement Is Resurfacing and Has Fans Talking

Peyton Manning is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, but a golf achievement from over a decade ago is now getting new attention.
Manning owns a stake in Sweetens Cove, a celebrated 9-hole public course in Tennessee and was even named the 2024 recipient of the Ambassador of Golf Award.
Recently, Golfballing released a post that got fans talking. It mentioned Manning’s membership at Augusta National Golf Club and his score of 77 on the course back in 2013.
Peyton Manning joined Augusta along with an elite group of roughly 300 members in 2012. Many other high-profile names are also part of Augusta’s membership list.
Two of the richest men on the planet are on it — Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett.
Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and South Carolina financier Darla Moore were among the first female members admitted in 2012, while Andy Jassy and Jimmy Dunne are also part of the list.
Augusta National is known for its exclusivity, which is reflected in its membership. With the Masters almost here, viewers will be witness to Augusta’s grandeur and heritage.
Fans React to Manning’s Augusta Feat
“Manning was just that guy in 2013,” one fan wrote. In 2013, Manning had just won his fifth MVP title and was named the Offensive Player of the Year. He was on every headline, even in golf.
He beat Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady when he teamed up with Tiger Woods in The Match: Champions for Charity event in 2020.
“That’s one more ace than I have!” commented a fan.
Manning consistently excels in his athletic pursuits. The two-time Super Bowl champion is one of a kind.
“Natural athletes easily cross the boundaries between sports, he's definitely a natural athlete,” a fan shared.
The post was filled with emojis of thumbs-up and claps for the 2023 U.S. Amateur Honorary Chairman. One fan simply called Manning a "legend."
