Weather delays have forced a dramatic Sunday finish at the 2026 Valero Texas Open. With a Masters spot on the line, PGA Tour officials revealed a compressed schedule to complete the event. Here is how the final day will unfold at TPC San Antonio.

Officials revealed that a stalled system on Saturday left the Oaks Course saturated. “The weather is not great tomorrow, but it's better than today," said PGA Tour Chief Referee Ken Tackett.

"There's a 30 percent chance roughly that we'll have showers throughout the day, and a low likelihood of lightning,” he said while discussing the suspension of the third round of the $9.8 million event.

Conditions on Sunday continue to be monitored, with a 10 to 35 percent chance of rain through the day. Temperatures are expected to range between 54°F and 68°F, with winds at 10 to 16 mph and gusts reaching 28 mph.

“We're going to resume Round 3 at 7:45, and what we'll do is with the time allotted, we'll just keep the groups together,” the PGA Tour refree added.

After the completion, Round 4 is set to begin between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. using split tees. To manage time, players will continue in their existing groups on 54-hole scores. “No re-pairing,” Ken Tackett confirmed.

A Masters spot is still up for the taking at the PGA Tour event

Robert MacIntyre leads at 15-under as play moves into a Sunday finish after storms in San Antonio stopped the third round on Saturday, leaving the field short of 54 holes.

“Absolutely. Everybody knows that Mother Nature's undefeated. Your comments earlier were spot on,” said Tackett, referring to how players have responded to the conditions.

He moved into position with a second-round 64, setting the lowest 36-hole total at this course since 2010, before the margin was reduced during Saturday’s play.

At the same time, Ludvig Åberg moved to 13-under with three birdies in his opening six holes, keeping the gap close.

Further back, Matt Wallace advanced to a tie for third after reaching 7-under through 14 holes before play was suspended.

With that, attention also shifts to the final qualifying spot for The Masters, where players such as Kevin Roy, tied for 10th at 9-under par, and Bud Cauley, T16 at 8-under par, need a win to earn entry into next week’s field.
