PGA Tour Winner Extends Public Caddie Offer to Well-Known Analyst

On the January 16 episode of Dan on Golf, analyst Dan Rapaport brought up an interesting text he received from former PGA Tour pro Joel Dahmen. While that text led nowhere, this time things were different.
Nearly six months after Joel Dahmen and his longtime caddie, Geno Bonnalie, parted ways in July 2025, Dahmen appeared on Papaport's show as a guest.
"You sent me a text, and you said, 'What are your plans for the fall?' And I showed it to Emma, and I said, 'It's about to happen. We're about to make a call.' And then I responded with my schedule, and you just didn't respond," Rapaport recalled.
While Dan Rapaport didn’t end up caddying for Joel Dahmen during the fall, Dahmen left the door open. "I think our time is
still coming. There will be some events coming up, and I think you'd be a great caddy," the PGA Tour winner told Rapaport.

Meanwhile, Joel Dahmen hasn't had the season he hoped for, losing his PGA Tour card after the 2025 season. Dahmen and Geno Bonnalie's split followed a run of missed cuts, and the golfer said he felt the need for a change and more accountability in his game and mindset.
After the split, Geno Bonnalie started caddying for Isaiah Salinda, while Dahmen turned to his coach, Rob Rashell, who joined him as his caddie at the Wyndham Championship. He then stayed on the bag through the fall of 2025.
Alongside caddying, Rashell also continued working with Dahmen as his swing coach, including at events such as the Procore Championship and the Wyndham Championship.
Joel Dahmen and Geno Bonnalie’s Caddying Partnership
Joel Dahmen and Geno Bonnalie’s partnership began well before the PGA Tour. They grew up near the Washington-Idaho border and first crossed paths at a two-player team event when Bonnalie was about 15, and Dahmen was 12.
After Dahmen topped the 2014 PGA Tour Canada season-long standings to earn a Korn Ferry Tour spot, Bonnalie, who was working as an export coordinator, wrote Dahmen a letter.
Joel Dahmen said yes, and Bonnalie started on the bag in 2015. They spent the next two seasons on the Korn Ferry Tour before Dahmen earned his PGA Tour card in late 2016. They later picked up one PGA Tour win together at the 2021 Corales Puntacana Championship.
Their bond reached a wider audience when Netflix’s Full Swing followed their journey and showed their on-course dynamic in the first two seasons.
However, with Dahmen keeping the door open for Dan Rapaport, do you think he'll get the opportunity to caddie the PGA Tour winner? Give us your take in the comments.
