Pro's Dress Code Violation' at Women’s Event Has Paige Spiranac and Golf World Talking

Annabell Fuller's outfit at a weekend tournament has the golf world, including Paige Spiranac, weighing in on the sport's traditional dress codes.
LPGA and Ladies European Tour golfer Annabell Fuller drew attention for her outfit during this weekend’s tournament.
The 23-year-old Annabell Fuller from London wore a white sleeveless crop top with a modest cut, paired with a high-waisted blue skirt at the AUS PGA, which led to debate online about whether women golfers should be allowed to wear crop tops on the course.
Golf has long followed strict dress codes. Male players are not allowed to wear shorts at official events. Shirts are required to be tucked in, and collars remain part of the standard.
That brings up a question: where does a crop top fit within these rules? Fuller’s outfit was not considered inappropriate, but it did start a wider conversation about how dress codes in golf are changing.
Golf commentator Rick Golfs shared a clip of Annabell Fuller from the Ladies European Tour on Sunday via X, adding to the growing discussion around dress codes in the sport:
“Annabell Fuller dropped this outfit at the AUS PGA. I think it’s 🔥.” As the conversation spread on X, players began sharing their views on the debate.
Paige Spiranac and Hannah Gregg Support Annabell Fuller
Paige Spiranac, who has dealt with similar criticism in the past, responded in support of Annabell Fuller. Sharing her reaction on X, she wrote, “She looks great, put together and athletic!”
The discussion also included fellow professionals. Both Fuller and Hannah Gregg competed at the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship, where they were scheduled close together during the third round, teeing off from the first tee within minutes of each other.
As the debate continued online, Gregg also addressed the criticism. Posting on X, she wrote, “Anyone that thinks this is ‘bad’, I really hope you’ve never seen high-level tennis outfits.”
Rick Golfs also followed up with another post on X. “And what a swing! I understand I’m probably a hypocrite that I’m okay with this and not shorts or untucked shirts in the men’s game. Not sure how to reconcile that other than that I’m a stupid man,” he wrote.
