Following Brooks Koepka’s reinstatement to the PGA Tour through the Returning Member Program, he committed to a $5 million charitable contribution.

Before turning to the distribution, it is important to understand why Koepka agreed to make this contribution as part of his return to the PGA Tour.

Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka informed the PGA Tour on December 23, 2025, that his prior affiliation had concluded and that he intended to return to the circuit.

In January 2026, he officially rejoined the PGA Tour through the Returning Member Program, a one-time pathway created for eligible players seeking reinstatement after competing elsewhere.

Koepka became the first player to use the program. His return followed his 2023 PGA Championship victory, which met the eligibility requirement tied to recent major champions.

Under the terms of reinstatement, he agreed to a $5 million charitable contribution, forfeited eligibility for the Player Equity Program from 2026 through 2030, and will not receive payouts from the 2026 FedEx Cup Bonus Program.

He must also compete in at least 15 co-sponsored tournaments during the 2026 season.

With those reinstatement terms in place, the focus then shifts to how Koepka’s $5 million contribution will be allocated and which organizations will receive the funds.

How Brooks Koepka’s Donation Is Being Distributed After His Return to the PGA Tour

First, $1 million from $5 million will go to the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, which serves as the primary charitable beneficiary of his hometown event, the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches.

Next, $1.5 million will be directed to organizations selected by Koepka and approved by the PGA TOUR. 

These include ALS Bridge Foundation, Baby Quest Foundation, Best Buddies, Hannah’s Home of South Florida, Pageant of Hope, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Foundation, Quantum House, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Thomas Healy Hambric Foundation – Beyond the Spectrum, and UnLIMBited Foundation.

The final portion, the remaining $2.5 million, will be distributed equally among beneficiaries chosen by eligible PGA TOUR members. These selections may include their personal foundations or other charitable organizations they support. 

Eligible members will have the opportunity to designate a beneficiary of their choice.
