Kai Trump’s rise in the LPGA spotlight has already produced moments fans won’t forget. And in a recent YouTube video, she revealed exactly why she stopped her agent from giving one specific ball to a young fan.

Her pro debut at The ANNIKA in November 2025 was a big moment; however, it was this modest story that connected just as much with viewers.

Recently, Kai posted a video recalling the moment she found a golf ball she’d been searching for. One she didn’t even realize had gone missing. “I actually found my ball that I've been looking for because I'm really sentimental sometimes,” she said, laughing at herself. 

As Kai explained in the video, “I signed the ball like that. One of my agents was going to give it away to a kid.” She admitted, “I knew it was the ball I used. I was like, No, don't give that away. I'll sign another one.”

As per Kai, “It was mine because of the wear on the ball, and also, like, the line was fading,” she further added.

How was she so sure that it was her ball? Well, only a golfer who has played with the ball can understand tiny details.

Once she retrieved it, she didn’t even know what to do with it. “I actually had the ball. So I don't know. I have to, like, put this up somewhere. I feel like this is like a very special golf ball,” she said. Eventually, she set it on a nearby spot. “This was just sitting there. So I just put my golf ball on top. So yeah, LPGA ball right there. That’s sick.”

For any athlete, firsts matter. For Kai Trump, entering her LPGA debut with global attention and the pressure of a famous last name. That ball symbolized something deeply personal: a milestone she created entirely on her own.
