World No.2 golfer Rory McIlroy was hitting the dance moves at Pacha Ibiza during the break. Despite not making the minimum event requirement on the PGA Tour, the Irishman is off on vacation with his family.
After a disappointing finish at the Open, McIlroy headed to Greece with his family. He was joined by fellow PGA Tour pro Shane Lowry over there. From there on, the Irishman took another flight to Spain.
On Wednesday, McIlroy was spotted showing his moves at one of Spain’s famed nightclubs, Pacha Ibiza. The back-to-back Masters champ was certainly enjoying his time, hitting the dance floor.

As shown on Carl Kettering's X post, viewers claimed that McIlroy was “ripping it” late into the night. It’s not the first time the Irishman has been spotted living the nightlife to the fullest.
Winning Augusta last year completed his Career Grand Slam after years of struggle.
Following the milestone victory, McIlroy was seen partying in Saint-Tropez at a beach club. He had even joked to reporters that his Green Jacket was “on the yacht.”
McIlroy did not meet the minimum event requirement on the PGA Tour this season. However, he was reportedly granted an exemption by the commissioner, Jay Monahan.
Over the years, the Irishman has featured at lesser events. Instead, he has utilized his time off for other things. The World No.2 was also spotted in the Royal Box at Wimbledon earlier this month.
McIlroy is a symbol of longevity. Now, it’s safe to say that the Irishman is seeking a balance in his life.
At Royal Birkdale, the 37-year-old had already revealed his plans for the break.
Family time over tournament grind is Rory McIlroy's new priority
It’s safe to say we won’t see Rory McIlroy until the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis. The Irishman was already set to spend the break with his family.
"Poppy's got another four weeks off school until she goes back, so I'm just going to enjoy the summer holidays with her and Erica. That's what I'm looking forward to the most,” said McIlroy, as per ESPN. “I guess I'm just at a stage that I have other things that I prioritise. I came to that decision last year, and I'm just sort of doing the same thing.”
McIlroy has significantly shortened his playing schedule since last year. The World No.2 is focusing on the majors and certain Signature events.
Back-to-back Masters wins this season certainly added to his legacy. However, his form dipped after winning the season-opening major.
Legacy and his family are all that matter for McIlroy at the moment.
