Scottie Scheffler vs. Tommy Fleetwood 2025 Earnings Comparison: Who Tops Golf’s Rich List?

Dec 2, 2025, 4:16 PM CUT

In a season defined by soaring prize money and shifting power dynamics, the battle between Scottie Scheffler and Tommy Fleetwood became more than just about trophies. Their competition turned into a race for golfing riches.

In 2025, Scottie Scheffler collected six PGA Tour titles, including two majors: the PGA Championship and the Open Championship. Meanwhile, Tommy Fleetwood registered his first PGA Tour victory ever, winning the Tour Championship this year.  As the 2025 earnings numbers roll in, one question stands out.

Scottie Scheffler or Tommy Fleetwood: Who truly ruled the money list?

On the flip side, Fleetwood turned heads with his breakthrough. In 2025, he logged US$18,496,238 in official earnings. His surge included a landmark win at the season-ending Tour Championship. The win secured his first PGA Tour title and delivered a major boost to his season’s cash haul. However, Fleetwood couldn't beat Scheffler.

Scheffler led the pack with an official PGA Tour earnings of US$27,659,550, comfortably topping the 2025 Money List. Throughout the year, he delivered six official tournament victories and racked up an impressive 17 top-10 finishes and 20 top-25 appearances in 20 events, a display of consistency few could match.

The nearly US$9.2 million gap between them underscores more than just a difference in wins. It highlights the razor-thin margin between dominance and ascent. Scheffler’s blend of wins and consistency gave him the clear lead. Meanwhile, Fleetwood’s late-season push illustrated just how unpredictable and rewarding golf can be.

Yet figures alone don’t tell the full story. Scheffler’s earnings reflect sustained excellence, week after week. Fleetwood’s numbers signal a breakthrough: a reminder that in golf, fortune can turn with a single swing.

So, who tops golf’s rich list in 2025? The answer is resoundingly Scheffler. But Fleetwood’s impressive season was packed with grit, breakthroughs, and smart timing. In fact, he beat some golf's biggest stars in the process, including Rory McIlroy ($16,992,418), Russell Henley ($14,707,570), and J.J. Spaun ($13,278,222), who rounded out the top five.
