Scottie Scheffler's 2026 Earnings: Where He Stands This Season After Finishing Behind Rory McIlroy at the Masters

Scottie Scheffler came to Augusta as the world No. 1, but left with a runner-up finish, one shot and roughly $2 million short.
Rory McIlroy finished at 12-under on Sunday to win his 2nd green jacket and $4.5 million while Scheffler was right behind at 11-under, earning $2.43 million. That single stroke represented a significant difference in prize money.
That result pushed Scheffler’s 2026 earnings to $6,246,430 after the Masters, according to Spotrac.

That result pushed Scheffler's 2026 PGA Tour official earnings to $6,246,430 after the Masters, according to Spotrac.
The bigger picture sits in his career totals. Scheffler has now made $201,666,234 in total career earnings, with $177,495,064 coming from official PGA Tour money and $24,171,170 from majors. His Augusta payout accounts for all of his major earnings so far this season.
The rise hasn’t been slow, and he earned $5.3 million in 2019–20, his first full season with consistent results. By 2022–23, that had jumped to $33.4 million.
Then came 2024, when things really took off. He brought in $71.2 million, including the $25 million FedEx Cup bonus and $4.6 million from majors. Last season, he followed it with $50.7 million. This year is still early. Four months in, there’s plenty left. At 29, Scheffler isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Where Scottie Scheffler Sits on Golf's All-Time Money List
Scottie Scheffler started 2026 just shy of $100 million in PGA Tour earnings. By Sunday, he had already crossed $105 million.
That puts him third on the all-time list, according to a USA TODAY report from April 14. Tiger Woods still leads at $121 million, while Rory McIlroy moved into second with $114.7 million after picking up another $4.5 million.
The gap between McIlroy and Scheffler is now around $9 million. Not too long ago, Woods’ number felt completely out of reach, and that’s not really the case anymore. Both McIlroy and Scheffler are now within $20 million.
Scheffler probably won’t worry too much about Sunday. One shot at Augusta cost him the green jacket and a bigger payday, sure. But it doesn’t really change the bigger picture. He still has time on his side, and his trajectory hasn’t shifted.
