Scottie Scheffler’s T24 finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational marked his lowest result in his past 24 starts on the PGA Tour.
Scottie Scheffler finished tied for 24th at 2-under-par for the tournament, posting rounds of 70, 71, 72, and 73 for a total score of 286.
The 2025 Open Championship winner’s final round of 73 (+1) saw him slip slightly down the leaderboard after entering Sunday in a stronger position, ultimately settling for a T24 finish.
The result matched his lowest finish in a stretch of recent starts on the PGA Tour. Last time the 29-year-old finished outside that range came at the 2025 WM Phoenix Open, where he tied for 25th at 9-under par after rounds of 69, 66, 68, and 72.

Despite the result at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the 2024 The Masters winner remained measured in his assessment during the press conference on Sunday.
“I hit my irons really nice. I wish I could have drove it a little bit better. Yeah, I got on the wrong side of a couple things out there, which cost me some shots. But overall, I felt like my iron play today was pretty sharp,” Scheffler said.
His response also reflects the run he carried through the 2025 season on the PGA Tour. Scheffler recorded six wins last year, including the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow and The Open Championship at Royal Portrush, while also finishing fourth at the Masters and tied for seventh at the U.S. Open.
Across the season, he posted 17 top-10 finishes in 20 starts and did not miss a cut, a stretch that placed him at the top of the tour standings and earned him another PGA Tour Player of the Year award.
With Bay Hill behind him, Scheffler also spoke about the next stop on the schedule as he prepares for THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass.
Scottie Scheffler Discusses the Challenge Awaiting at THE PLAYERS
The world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler now heads to THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass, a tournament he won in 2023 and 2024, becoming the first player to defend the title in the event’s history.
As the 2026 edition approaches, Scheffler spoke about the type of test the course presents and the adjustments players may have to make during the week.
“You've got to strike it well. Around that golf course, when you're hitting the ball in the right spots, you can shoot some low scores,” Scheffler said. “The greens will be a little different with the overseed, so it could be more of a take-spin-off week.”
For the opening two rounds, Scheffler is scheduled to play alongside a former champion, Justin Thomas, who won the event in 2021, and Tommy Fleetwood.
