Scottie Scheffler’s simple celebration after FedEx Cup win surprised his wife

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler couldn’t ask for a better ending to his PGA Tour season. Upon winning the FedEx Cup on Sunday, the American’s beer celebration left his wife in shock.
Making up a three-stroke deficit, Scheffler lifted his second FedEx Cup at East Lake. The 30-year-old turned his season completely around in the postseason with two wins. He deserved to break a few rules of his own.
“I don't really drink very often. My wife and my manager were like, wow, I haven't seen you have a beer in a long time," Scheffler said after the win. "Well, season's over now. I'm going to have a beer. Well-earned beer.”

After walking off the 18th green, Scheffler realized he had a brief moment to relax a bit before the media got to him.
The American went straight to an open bar and enjoyed his $10 million win with a beer.
Scheffler’s 4-under 66 in the final round secured him a three-stroke win over 56-hole leader Viktor Hovland.
The World No.1 ends the season with three wins to his name, and he wished to celebrate further with some cheeseburgers.
"Gosh, I don't know. Probably a cheeseburger. I'm a big cheeseburger guy," Scheffler added in an interview accessed via ASAP Sports. "Cheeseburger, fries, maybe a milkshake if they've got one hiding back there."
The second FedEx Cup takes Scheffler’s PGA Tour wins tally to 22 and makes him PGA Tour's all-time top earner, surpassing the great Tiger Woods.
Hovland was also all set to lift his second FedEx Cup title. However, the Norwegian was far off his game on Sunday.
The runner-up's regret
Viktor Hovland looked in spectacular form coming into the final round. His Moving Day 5-under 65 had handed him a one-stroke lead over Tour Championship debutant Ryan Gerard.
However, on Sunday, the Norwegian was nowhere close to his best.
“When we talk about my ceiling, I didn't feel like I was anywhere close to it,” said Hovland, as per PGA Tour's Paul Hodowanic. “If I just had my normal game, my normal ball striking from the previous years, I think I take away this tournament.”
Hovland carded a 2-over-par 72 in the final round, landing only one birdie. Scheffler’s 66 eventually left him trailing by three strokes.
Earlier this season, Hovland secured a playoff win over Scheffler at the Travelers Championship.
However, at the season-finale, it was the American who came out on top.
