Since the inception of the Saudi-backed league in 2022, Sergio Garcia has served as Fireball GC’s captain. Garcia captained the team to a third-place finish, while securing a ninth-place individual ranking and one tournament win.

Sergio Garcia has recently re-signed a multi-year extension to remain the team's captain and finalized the 2026 roster. He will captain a young Fireballs GC squad that includes David Puig, Josele Ballester, and Luis Masaveu, who steps into the roster spot vacated by Abraham Ancer following his switch to Torque GC.

Luis Masaveu had previously played the first eight events of the 2025 season with the Fireballs before being replaced by Josele Ballester.

"Returning to Fireballs GC and LIV Golf reinforces everything we are building," Sergio Garcia told LIV Golf. added the Spaniard. "LIV Golf continues to set the pace globally, and I’m committed to leading this group as we push forward and keep raising the standard," he added.

Garcia's inclusion leaves Fireballs GC with three players aged 24 or under on its four-man roster for the 2026 season.

Sergio Garcia has been one of LIV Golf’s most consistent performers, finishing the first four seasons ranked 9th, 17th, 3rd, and 9th individually. Teammate David Puig praised him as well.

“This year marked real growth for me, and a lot of that comes from learning every day alongside Sergio,” Puig said. “His experience, his standards, and the way he leads have helped me mature quickly," added Puig. Yet that's not the only highlight from the Fireballs' 2026 roster.

Luis Masaveu's return makes the Fireballs LIV Golf's first-ever all-Spanish team

Masaveu's return has the Fireballs as LIV Golf's first-ever all-Spanish team, playing alongside captain Sergio Garcia, David Puig, and Josele Ballester.

During his time in the lineup last season, Masaveu contributed to Fireballs GC’s three consecutive team tournament victories at Adelaide, Hong Kong, and Singapore

He proved his value with a clutch final-hole birdie in Hong Kong that sealed a one-shot team victory. Garcia himself sees a bright future with Masaveu joining the lineup.

"With David and Josele playing well in 2025 and Luis joining the team for 2026, our identity and competitive edge are stronger than ever, rooted in pride, purpose, and our collective emotional connection to the game of golf," said the team captain. However, only time will tell how this all-Spanish lineup fares in competition.
