Spaniard 26-Year-Old qualifies for The Open with consecutive DP World Tour wins

With back-to-back DP World Tour victories, the Spaniard has secured his place at next month's Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
At Circolo Golf Torino, Chacarra put on a strong performance. After taking a 54-hole lead, the 26-year-old did not let his lead slip away and instead secured his first Open start.
"I'm very excited. I've never played there, I've always dreamed of playing it, and been watching on TV since I was little. Excited to be out there, now it's time to celebrate, and then we can focus on that," Chacarra said on his Open qualification, according to Associated Press via ESPN.
Chacarra will be present at next month's 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, as reported by Cameron Jourdan of GolfWeek.
The 26-year-old got hold of the one Open Championship ticket available, as the top eligible player not already exempt at the Italian Open.
Earlier this month, the Spaniard secured the KLM Open in the Netherlands. This time, the 26-year-old held off Matt Wallace and Joaquin Niemann.
"That's what I've been dreaming of since I was little, to play against those kind of players down the stretch, and I'm very proud of how I played and how I managed myself today," said Chacarra.
Chacarra finished at 24 under for the week after scoring 7-under 64 in the final round. He secured the title by five strokes over Wallace.
The 26-year-old had earlier opened up about his dream of playing on the PGA Tour.
Chacarra wishes to compete on the PGA Tour
Chacarra played on LIV Golf in his first three years as a professional. After leaving the league, he opened up about their fake promises, as reported by Cameron Jourdan of GolfWeek.
The 26-year-old had one win in the league, the LIV Golf Invitational Bangkok. Despite attaining financial freedom, the youngster was seeking more glory in the game.
"I see what it’s like to win on the PGA Tour and how your life changes," said Chacarra. "How you get major access and ranking points. On LIV, nothing changes, there is only money. It doesn’t matter if you finish 30th or first, only money."
For Chacarra, it has never really been about the money.
"I’m not a guy who wants more money. What will change my life is playing in Hawaii and qualifying for the majors, qualifying for the Masters, the Ryder Cup," Chacarra added.
Following his back-to-back victories, Chacarra now sits third in the Race to Dubai standings behind Patrick Reed and Rory McIlroy, putting him in a strong position to earn a PGA Tour card.
