Brandt Snedeker has chosen two experienced men for his U.S. Presidents Cup team staff: Keegan Bradley and Jim Furyk. Given that both know what it feels like to win the event, their addition can prove to be a worthy move.

Snedeker announced on Wednesday that Furyk and Bradley will be his assistant captains for the 2026 Presidents Cup. The event will take place from Sept. 22-27 at Medinah Country Club’s Course No. 3 near Chicago.

The U.S. team is set to play against Geoff Ogilvy’s International team. The PGA Tour shared the news on X on May 20. Reflecting on the decision, Snedeker said, "Both guys have incredible experience as leaders representing the United States, and they've each earned the respect of players across generations."

He also mentioned, "Jim knows exactly what it takes to lead a team to victory, and Keegan's competitive spirit and energy will be an undeniable asset."

Furyk brings the most leadership experience to the group. He led the U.S. team to a win at the 2024 Presidents Cup in Royal Montreal. He is also the U.S. Ryder Cup captain. Snedeker had earlier told Golfweek that he would choose the Ryder Cup captain because he wanted the same leadership and teamwork in both events.

As a player, Furyk had a strong record in the Presidents Cup, winning 20 matches, losing 10, and tying 3 in seven appearances.

Bradley brings a different kind of experience. He was the captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 2025. Two years earlier, Furyk chose him as a captain’s pick for the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal. Bradley later won the final point for the U.S. team against Si Woo Kim.

His Presidents Cup record as a player is 3 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie. Both Furyk and Bradley have already been Ryder Cup captains. So, Snedeker’s first two picks bring a lot of leadership and experience.

Snedeker Still Has Two Spots Left, And His Recent Success Changes the Conversation

Just a few days before making these picks, Snedeker won the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic. It was his 10th PGA Tour victory and his first win in eight years.

After that result, he now enters the role with plenty of confidence and has selected assistants who already have experience in major team competitions.

Furyk said, "It was a privilege to captain our team to victory at Royal Montreal. I'm excited to join Brandt and our players as we prepare for what will be an unforgettable week in Chicago."

Bradley kept it straightforward. "I'm looking forward to doing everything I can to support Brandt and our players as we work to bring home another Presidents Cup victory on U.S. soil."

However, with two sports remaining, it will be intersting to witness which players make it to the US squad. Snedeker can also turn towards past captains like Davis Love III, Zach Johnson, or Fred Couples to fill the spot, given their experience.

But which two players do you think Snedeker should choose to complete the US team for the 2026 Presidents Cup? Let us know in the comments.
