Bryson DeChambeau does more than just play golf. Wherever he goes, he attracts a lot of attention and excitement from fans. Talor Gooch experienced that for himself on Saturday at LIV Golf Korea.
The OKGC captain spoke at a post-round press conference on Saturday at Asiad Country Club. After carding a one-under 69 in the third round, Gooch played alongside DeChambeau and Cam Smith during Saturday's round.
When reporters asked Gooch what it was like to play with DeChambeau, he didn't hold back.
"But Bryson is a whole different animal," he said. "It's always fun being paired with him. There's always a little bit of chaos. But it's awesome. You see all the good that he's done with his YouTube and his social media."
DeChambeau is having a remarkable 2026 season, having won consecutive titles on the LIV Golf Tour in Singapore and South Africa. Gooch is no stranger to his success.
"And obviously his success on the course and it's paying off with the masses following him," he stated. "And knowing him and cheering for him around the world."

Gooch's comment was more than just a compliment, as DeChambeau's popularity was evident in South Korea.
The World No. 32 ended the third round at six under par, three shots behind leaders Gooch and Joaquin Niemann. He shot a 71, making three birdies and four bogeys during the round.
Gooch summed up what Saturday felt like from inside the ropes.
"It makes Saturdays a little more exciting when you're paired with him," he said.
Gooch himself was steady throughout 17 pars and a solitary birdie at the par-5 15th. He entered the final round tied for the lead at nine under alongside Niemann, with $4 million on the line for Sunday's winner.
However, Gooch is motivated by more than just the individual title heading into Sunday's final round.
Talor Gooch Eyes First Win as OKGC Captain With Thunder Game 7 as His Pre-Round Warmup
As captain of OKGC, formerly known as Smash GC and renamed to reflect his Oklahoma roots, a win on Sunday would give Gooch his first title as the team's leader.
"Ever since we went through the whole rebranding process, all you think about is spraying your teammates with champagne," Gooch said. "It would be amazing to be able to do that tomorrow."
Before any of that, he planned to watch the Oklahoma City Thunder face the San Antonio Spurs in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. Tip-off is 9 a.m. South Korean time, and the final round doesn't start until past 1 p.m.
"I definitely get more nervous for Thunder games, important Thunder games, than about anything else," Gooch said. "Ironically, tomorrow might be a good thing to watch the Thunder and kind of get some of my nerves out of my system before we tee it off."
Gooch has won titles with three different LIV teams. A Sunday victory at Asiad Country Club would add a first as captain to that list.
