Paul Casey has spent enough years in professional golf to know when leaders are truly listening to their players and when they are not.

Casey spoke to the media at Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls on Friday during the LIV Golf Virginia press conference.

With questions growing about the future of LIV Golf after Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund reportedly stopped its financial support, Casey answered honestly whether LIV leaders are listening to players and handling their feedback.

"Yes, they're listening to us," Casey said.

Casey was asked how open LIV leaders have been as the league plans its next steps. He pointed to LIV CEO Scott O'Neil and executive Katie O'Reilly, saying they have stayed in touch with players and listened to them during this time.

"Scott's been very receptive, and those in charge that come up with the plan have been very receptive," Casey said. "He's done a brilliant job of learning this ecosystem of ours, understanding what happens when you pull certain levers."

Casey also acknowledged the challenge of managing a room full of experienced, opinionated professionals. With 26 years on tour himself, he noted there is no shortage of perspectives to filter through.

"He's doing a wonderful job of filtering that," Casey said of O'Neil.

LIV's search for private investment to replace PIF funding remains ongoing. No long-term solution has been confirmed publicly. But Casey's comments suggest players are being kept in the conversation at the leadership level.

Away from the podium, his week on the course has been just as notable.

Paul Casey's strong week at LIV Virginia adds to Crushers' growing momentum

Casey carded a 4-under round Friday, moving to 6-under for the tournament and into a tie for fourth.

The moderator noted at Friday's press conference that three Crushers teammates also sat inside the top seven on the individual leaderboard.

The team came to Virginia with confidence after their win in South Africa. Casey said that victory was special because of the atmosphere, the energy, and the way everything happened.

"We'd love to get another one this week," Casey said. "We've stayed a unit, the four of us. Our team has never changed. We're proud of that."

Casey missed the last LIV event at Trump National because of a back injury. That makes this week's performance particularly important for him, both personally and for the team.
