Tiger Woods is officially back on American soil, but a court date in July and a deeply uncertain professional golf future now await him.

Woods returned after completing an intensive treatment program at a specialized rehabilitation clinic in Switzerland, with his private jet confirmed to have touched down in Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday night.

Golf media outlet NUCLR GOLF broke the news on X. They confirmed that Woods had arrived back in the U.S. after more than two months away from the public eye.

"I don't know when it will be or how he will do it, but Tiger is determined to return [to golf]," a source told Page Six. "He has to get his pain management going in the right direction and also be able to continue a fitness routine. This could be tough. But it's something he wants."

Woods went to a clinic in Switzerland in early April after a judge allowed him to leave the United States. He was arrested on March 27 after a crash involving two vehicles near his home on Jupiter Island, Florida.

His next court hearing is scheduled for July 7.

According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, his treatment included intense psychological and physical work alongside pain management care to address his body without addictive opioids. "He's responding well to treatment," the source said.

Woods has not played competitive golf since the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon. He has not registered for the 2026 Open at Royal Birkdale, meaning he will miss all four men's majors for the second straight year.

Tiger Woods' Potential 2026 Competitive Return

According to the data shared by NUCLR GOLF, the probability of Woods playing in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event before the end of 2026 at 43%.

The Baycurrent Classic in Japan, an $8 million FedEx Cup event, shared a promotional graphic featuring Woods on social media. The post sparked new speculation that he could return to competitive golf later this year. The tournament will take place from October 8-11 at Yokohama Country Club.

A golf source told People magazine that Woods remains focused on golf and is "not a quitter."

Meantime as per Page Six, the pressure to heal weighs on him alongside the stress of his legal situation. "This has created a great deal of stress," the source said.

Woods stayed connected to golf during treatment. Nelly Korda revealed Woods sent her a motivational "Finish it off" text message right before her final round at Riviera.

He also reportedly watched his friend Rory McIlroy win the 2026 Masters. Korda also revealed last week that Woods congratulated her on winning the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera.

So, do you think Tiger Woods will tee it up on the PGA Tour before the end of 2026? Let us know in the comments.
