The Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson duo has been defined as both rivals and friends in the initial days of Tiger’s career. Woods has won 82 PGA Tour events and never signed with LIV Golf, while Mickelson claimed 45 PGA Tour victories and currently sits 24th in the LIV Golf standings.

For more than 20 years, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson shared golf’s biggest stages. Their earnings reflect the impact of that rivalry beyond just wins. But every golfer's wins apart from golf course wins, earnings also play a major role in defining the golfers.

Tiger Woods’ Career Earnings

Tiger leads all golfers in PGA Tour career money earnings. As per the PGA Tour official rankings, he has earned around $120.9 million. As per Spotrac, Woods’ earnings, including bonuses, are $126,239,510

Though being one of the top golfers, he didn’t join LIV Golf as he had philosophical differences with LIV. Off the course, his endorsement income and other businesses have made his total lifetime earnings

Phil Mickelson’s Career Earnings

As per the PGA Tour official career earnings in 2025, Phil Mickelson ranked in 4th position. His earnings are $96,727,968.  According to Spotrac and related reports, Mickelson’s combined career earnings, including majors and early LIV Golf payouts, are about $112–113 million as of early 2025. And LIV gold earnings?

Well, Phil Mickelson’s LIV Golf career earnings since 2022 are $11,943,326. He joined the LIV Golf in 2022, soon after its existence, and his current position is #24.

In straight golf earnings, Tiger still clearly outpaces Phil. On the official PGA Tour money list, Tiger sits at the top (with his total over $120 million), while Phil’s is well behind at just under $100 million. Why the gap?

Tiger’s prolonged peak has more PGA Tour wins, and even staying at the top of the sport helped him pull ahead early.
