World No. 15 Justin Thomas is making his way back to the PGA Tour after time away due to microdiscectomy surgery in November 2025 to address a long-standing back and hip injury, working to regain form with each start.

In between tournament appearances, Justin Thomas shared a moment away from competition. He shared a video via X on Sunday from a practice session featuring his daughter, Molly, offering a glimpse into his routine during this phase of return.

The two-time major winner captioned the clip, “Family practice session this afternoon. I think Molly highly approves of the new @Titleist GTS woods 👀.”

Away from the course, Thomas’ life centers around a close family that has remained part of his journey. He is married to Jillian Wisniewski, whom he met in college. The two got engaged in November 2021 and married in November 2022 in Tennessee, with Jordan Spieth serving as best man.

The couple welcomed their daughter, Molly Grace, on November 18, 2024. Molly was present during her dad’s win at the RBC Heritage in 2025, marking his first victory as a father. The family also includes their dog, Franklin, who often appears in their posts.

The moment from the practice ground adds to that picture, showing how Thomas is balancing his return to competition with time spent at home. It also leads to his return to competition, where each event shows he is building rhythm after surgery.

Justin Thomas returns to the PGA Tour with steady progress after surgery

The 32-year-old returned to competitive golf in early 2026 after a four-month break following back surgery. He made his season debut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on March 5.

Since then, he has played through the Florida swing, with each event reflecting a different stage of his return.

At the Arnold Palmer Invitational, he missed the cut after rounds of 79, acknowledging the gap after time away. A week later at The Players Championship, he moved into contention and finished T8, opening with back-to-back 68s as he settled back into competition.

He followed that with a T30 finish at the Valspar Championship, continuing his run of starts while managing workload and recovery.

Looking ahead, the 16-time PGA Tour winner’s focus for the 2026 season remains on staying fit and building strength through regular play. That approach now leads into the next stretch, including the Masters Tournament in April, followed by the RBC Heritage, where he returns as defending champion.

Do you think Justin Thomas can build form quickly after his return from surgery?
