From signature models to cutting-edge tech, shoes are a huge part of professional sports, and Golf is no different. Whether it's this year's Open champion or an amateur golfer, everyone takes thier time to choose the right shoe, and these three have proven their worth in 2025.

PAYNTR FO Rainshedder RS1

The PAYNTR FO Rainshedder RS1 is a golf shoe developed through a collaboration between PAYNTR Golf and Forrester’s. It uses a zippered shroud placed over a knit bootie to block water.

The shoe includes a 3D Traction System with Softspikes for grip, and the upper is made from Clarino microfiber. The design aligns Forrester’s footwear approach with PAYNTR Golf’s movement-focused engineering for play in the rain.

Golfers who want protection from rain and wet playing conditions. Players who prefer footwear that combines design elements with modern performance features.

Alma Mater Beta Longwing

The Alma Mater Beta Longwing is a leather golf shoe produced by Alma Mater Footwear. It uses a longwing pattern and includes a capsole with nitrogen-infused foam in the midsole. The model has been worn by Jordan Poyer.

The Beta Longwing uses a wingtip pattern, and the Beta Lite is a lighter model in the same line. The company refers to its construction approach as 3Pe Technology, or three-piece engineering.

The three components are identified as the Gripper, the Slipper, and the Zipper. The Gripper refers to the outsole, which the company states is mapped to the golfer's movement. The Slipper refers to the midsole and insole, which use nitrogen-processed foam.

Nike Victory Pro 4

The Nike Victory Pro 4 is a men’s golf shoe worn by Scottie Scheffler. It includes a Fly Wing component that links the midsole to the upper and supports lateral movement.

Scottie Scheffler uses the shoe to maintain support through his swing, particularly during ground interaction and rotation into the ball. The shoe's Fly Wing component functions in this phase, and its cushion foam midsole helps.

In testing, the fly wing provided consistent support during the swing, without the shoe deforming. And considering Scheffler's success this season, it's safe to say the shoe did its job.

Yet, which of these three shoes would you rank at the top of your list? Tell us in the comments.
