Anthony Kim is up and running in LIV Golf. His return has been inspiring, and Kim shared some honest words on his former self.

Kim finished 16-under par at LIV Golf Virginia and ended up finishing tied for sixth. He also led his team, 4 Aces GC, towards victory.

“That's a good question. 2010 me might not have shown up. So I like this one better,”  said Kim.

In 2010, Kim was everywhere. He had become just the fifth player in 30 years to have won three times on the PGA Tour before the age of 25. However, things took a turn for the worse after that.

In 2012, Kim featured in his last PGA Tour event, pulling out after the first round, due to an Achilles injury. Following that, Kim vanished from the golf scene for 12 long years.

“Man, it's unbelievable. Obviously, I played some decent golf 20 years ago, where a few people knew who I was, but the amount of support I'm getting from people, not only from golfers, but people outside of golf fighting their own issues, because we all have them, has been nothing short of amazing.” Kim added.

Kim has been taken aback by his influence on people, as he's "just trying to play golf." The 40-year old considered himself "blessed" and was determined to improve his performance in the league.

In Virginia, Kim shot his lowest round relative to par since his break, with the bogey-free 10-under 62 in the final round. That score helped his team in forcing the playoff against Fireballs GC.

As Lucas Herbert won the tournament wire-to-wire, Kim and Thomas Detry both made pars on the first playoff hole to secure the team title.

With the T6 finish, Kim climbed inside the top 200 in the world for the first time since 2012. Let’s have a look at his run of form this season.

Kim’s run of form this season

Kim has found his form back this season in the rebel tour.

In the season-opening event at Riyadh, Kim secured a T22 finish, which became his best finish since his return.

Following that, Kim came with the inspiring win at Adelaide, with a score of 23-under par. This was his first title in 16 years.

Since then, the 40-year-old has put forth laudable performances in Singapore and now, in Virginia.

Moving on from his issues, Kim will look forward to adding on to his Adelaide victory in the upcoming events.
