2026 St. Jude Championship prize money and purse: How much money will the champion make?

A $20 million purse was up for grabs at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and the winner, Scottie Scheffler, took home the maximum. The rest of the field, fighting for qualification, also got hold of a significant sum.
Last year, the event had the same payout when World No. 12 Justin Rose came out on top. This time around, TPC Southwind witnessed Scheffler’s dominance.
Scheffler secured $3.6 million from the massive eight-stroke win over South Korea's Si Woo Kim. It was a much-needed victory as the 30-year-old was having a subpar season by his standards.
Runner-up Si Woo Kim, who finished at nine-under, had a $2.16 million payday.

Tied for 3rd by a stroke, Swedish pro Alex Noren and America’s Sam Burns racked up $1.36 million each, as per CBS Sports' Robby Kalland.
Sungjae Im’s incredible playoff streak continues as he finished tied for fifth alongside the current US Open champion Wyndham Clark. Both secured $760,000 each.
Ludvig Åberg, Xander Schauffele, Hideki Matsuyama, Tommy Fleetwood and Jake Knapp all finished tied for 7th. They racked up $602,800 each.
As a matter of fact, the top 36 grabbed a six-figure payday. Last season’s winner Justin Rose came tied for 39th and won $90,500.
World No. 2 Rory McIlroy stumbled to 66th place, earning just $42,200, a stark contrast to his usual contention. Bottom-ranked Akshay Bhatia took home $41,400.
A lot was at stake at TPC Southwind as only the top 50 of the FedEx Cup rankings will now head to the BMW Championship.
Scheffler finally crossed the line after multiple runner-up finishes.
Scottie Scheffler knew the win was coming
Scottie Scheffler has lacked the final push this season to cross the line. At TPC Southwind, he really stepped up.
“It’s not easy to win out here. I felt like this year, the year I’ve had, kind of shows that, how difficult it is. I felt like a week like this was coming,” Scheffler said, as per PGA Tour's Will Gray. “It was nice to come out this week and play some solid golf and really execute when I needed to.”
The course record-tying score of 61 on Friday brought the title within his reach. On the weekend, he didn’t let his momentum slip.
With rounds of 68 and 66, Scheffler took a comfortable lead at the top and finished eight strokes better than the rest of the field.
The dominant performance got him his second title of the season, and now he’ll head to the BMW Championship in Missouri.
