Golf is taking on a new shape as Golf City USA announces its upcoming flagship, a full 18-hole indoor golf course in Music City.

Traditionally played under the sun, the 500-year-old sport is now taking an intriguing indoor turn, allowing players to enjoy golf year-round.

“Golf has never been more popular, but for millions of golfers, finding the time, or even a place to play, remains a challenge,” said Tony Graffia Jr., CEO of CityGolf USA and Managing Partner of Nessie Capital, per a press release shared with The Tennessean.

According to Business Wire, CityGolf USA’s Nashville concept is an 18-hole indoor experience that combines GOLFZON simulators with real putting greens, short-game zones, and a contemporary driving range.

And golf is not the only thing the indoor facility delivers. CityGolf Nashville aims to combine dining, nightlife, retail, and other events, featuring a chef-led restaurant, pro shop, and private event spaces.

On top of that, PGA-certified professionals will offer lessons and player development programs at the facility. With such features, Graffia Jr. believes that CityGolf USA can transform the golfing experience completely.

“CityGolf USA changes that by making it possible to play a full round before or after work, year-round, in cities where people live and work. It’s a faster, more accessible way to experience the game,” said Tony Graffia Jr.

According to the press release, the authorities are targeting a late 2026 or early 2027 opening for the indoor golf course, although an exact date has yet to be announced.

CityGolf USA is also expected to reveal details about its design partner and course architect as it expands its footprint nationwide.

How will the indoor golf experience work?

After the successful debut of a model CityGolf hole at the 2026 PGA Show, Nashville became the first city to have an indoor golf course.

“CityGolf USA builds on that vision by combining GOLFZON’s industry-leading simulator technology with real putting greens and short-game complexes to create a new urban golf club. It gives golfers who don’t have the time, space, or access to a traditional course the opportunity to enjoy the full experience of an 18-hole round,” said Kim Young-Chan, Founder and Chairman of GOLFZON Group, in the same Business Wire report.

The course will feature 18 sequential holes. However, driver and iron shots will be played on a simulator.

Once your shots are complete, the simulator screen lifts to uncover a putting green for chipping and putting. According to the press release, a laser will highlight the exact spot where a player’s previous shot landed.

The exact size of the indoor golf course has yet to be ascertained, but the authorities have assured visitors of an experience comparable to that of a 150-acre golf course.
