Seven-time PGA Tour winner Viktor Hovland is usually in the spotlight for his play. This week at THE PLAYERS Championship, however, his outfit grabbed fans’ attention online.
The Norwegian golfer reached the peak of his career in 2023 when he captured the FedEx Cup after back-to-back victories at the BMW Championship and the TOUR Championship.
The 28-year-old has had a steady start to the 2026 season. Hovland has made the cut in each of his starts so far, highlighted by a T10 finish at the WM Phoenix Open and a T13 finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational earlier this month.
As the Norwegian prepares to compete at THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass, the conversation around him this week has little to do with his game.
On March 10, 2026, golf media outlet Flushing It shared a photo of Hovland on X ahead of THE PLAYERS Championship. Hovland can be seen wearing a retro blue striped long-sleeve polo with tailored navy trousers while carrying his bag over his shoulder.
The post was captioned: “Viktor Hovland is looking sharp at THE PLAYERS Championship on Tuesday.”
The post quickly drew attention from fans online.

A few fans focused on the relaxed appearance of the outfit instead. “Straight outta bed,” one user commented. “Me as a kid trying on my Dad’s dress clothes,” another fan joked.
Some fans even offered advice rather than jokes. “Need a 68-year-old to simply tell him to tuck it in, bud,” a fan replied.
