Muni He is tasting success in improving her fiance, Alex Albon's golfing skills, and the 26-year-old doesn't shy away from talking about it.
During a press conference amid the Honda LPGA Thailand, Muni confessed that her driving skills weren't comparable to her fiance's golf skills. She admitted that she doesn't prefer to drive "at all," but also mentioned that Albon's golf skills had improved significantly throughout their relationship.
Talking about her part in her fiance's golf skill upgradation, she said, "You know, I try to help. Whether he listens or not is a different story."
Albon, who competes full-time in Formula 1, doesn’t get much time on the course. Muni disclosed his handicap score saying, “I don’t think he has a handicap. He’s just so busy. Doesn’t have a lot of time to play. I think his best score with me was 79, so he broke 80. That’s a big accomplishment,” she further added.
Breaking 80 is a benchmark many amateur golfers chase for years. For someone balancing a global F1 schedule, it’s no small feat.
Muni, a professional competing on the LPGA stage, sees the potential. She also said, “His swing looks very nice. Maybe he’s just watching me play a lot.”
There is genuine support behind the playful banter and a subtle coach-student relationship between the two at home. It is not certain whether or not Albon will follow the advice, but one thing is indisputable: he can get first-class advice.
How Muni He and Alexander Albon Built Their Relationship
Muni He and Alexander Albon started dating around 2019 after being introduced through mutual friends in the sports circle.
Since then, they’ve grown into one of those low-key but steady couples. When her schedule allows, Muni shows up at F1 races. When he can, Albon supports her golf events. It’s simple: they understand each other’s careers because they both live the same high-performance lifestyle.
Muni “Lily” He and Alex Albon first connected in 2019 on social media after she began following Formula 1 drivers, including Albon, after watching Drive to Survive on Netflix, and he had also taken an interest in golf around the same time. Their mutual interest in each other’s sport sparked conversations online.
Later that year, after an F1 race in Texas, Albon and Muni met in person in Los Angeles and played golf together. And then, in a way, golf became the point of connection that helped turn their friendship into a relationship.
The couple has been dating publicly since 2019, supporting each other through two demanding international sports careers. And a few days back, in January 2026, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram with a shared post showing her engagement ring and the caption “I guess we’re stuck with each other now.”
