Xander Schauffele’s historic run is over. After 1,391 days, the PGA Tour’s longest active cuts-made streak ended.

A two-time major winner, Schauffele had not missed a cut since the Masters in 2022. From then, he made the weekend in 72 consecutive PGA Tour starts, the longest active streak on Tour at the time.

That run ended as Schauffele missed the cut by one stroke at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. He finished at 2-under 142 after a closing 69 on the North Course, falling just short of the cut line and bringing his streak on the PGA Tour to an end.

Following Xander Schauffele’s missed cut at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open, Scottie Scheffler holds the longest active cuts-made streak on the PGA Tour at 65 consecutive cuts as of Jan. 31, 2026.

Scheffler has not missed a cut since the FedEx St. Jude Championship in August 2022. Schauffele’s previous missed weekend came at the 2022 Masters. In the time that followed, he faced only a small number of close calls.

Scheffler has sustained the streak across multiple events, including a series of top-10 finishes during that span.

How Xander Schauffele’s Cuts-Made Streak Came to an End

On Jan. 30 at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open, Schauffele faced pressure on the cut line. He was coming off a 1-over 73 on the South Course.

He began on the North Course and opened with two birdies. After the turn, he went birdie, bogey, birdie, birdie to reach 3 under and move onto the cut line.

However, two pars followed. He then bogeyed the par-4 seventh, dropping to 2 under. A par at the eighth left him needing a birdie at the par-5 ninth to return to 3 under and extend his cuts-made streak.

After finding the fairway on his final hole, Schauffele missed the green to the left, leaving a difficult recovery. He chipped from the rough to about seven feet, giving himself a birdie chance he needed to convert. Yet, he slid right past that.

Will Scottie Scheffler be able to extend the streak? Would you be rooting for him?
