The biggest crowd at the BMW International Open wasn’t following a major champion—it was following YouTube golf star Brad Dalke. Playing his first DP World Tour event, Dalke drew one of the largest galleries on Saturday in Munich and praised the German fans for their support.

Dalke spoke to the DP World Tour after his third round on July 4 at the BMW International Open at Golfclub München Eichenried.

“It’s crazy in my mind knowing that I’ve never played a DP World Tour event and I might have the biggest group out there, biggest following out there. Germany has really showed out,” Dalke told, in an original video by DP World, retweeted by NUCLR Golf on X.

Dalke shot a 3‑over 75 to fall to 6‑under for the tournament, seven shots behind joint leaders DP World Tour players Michael Hollick and Bernd Wiesberger at 13‑under.

For a player who hadn’t competed in a world‑ranked event since 2020, making the cut and entering Saturday just two shots off the lead marked a significant return.

Dalke was once a highly decorated amateur. He won the Junior PGA Championship in 2015, finished runner-up at the 2016 U.S. Amateur and helped Oklahoma win the 2017 NCAA Championship. 

He played in the 2017 Masters and U.S. Open but missed the cut in both.

Dalke turned professional in 2019, but things did not go as planned. He struggled with his driver, lost sponsors, ran out of money, and later pivoted to creating golf content on YouTube.

However, a few days back, Dalke said he is stepping away from YouTube golf to focus on his family on June 25, 2026.

Dalke also shared that his wife, Abbie, suffered two miscarriages in 2025 and endured an ocular stroke in December that caused temporary blindness in her left eye. Tests later revealed a hole in her heart, for which she underwent surgery on June 1.

Dalke explained his decision in a 19-minute video posted on YouTube on June 25, 2026.

"I just feel like I didn't live up to par when it comes to being a husband for Abbie throughout this whole process, and that kills me inside," he said. "I just want to be centered with Abbie. I want to be centered with our future family."

Despite stepping away from YouTube, Dalke has accepted sponsor invites to the PGA Tour’s Rocket Classic and the Good Good Championship.

He told DP World Tour media he is focused on gaining more competitive reps before those events.
