The latest performance of Alison Lee on the LPGA Tour has been under the spotlight, showcasing her capabilities as both a mother and a fierce competitor.

Alison Lee posted an impressive final score of 67 at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro, which put her in a tie for 13th place overall. This remarkable feat shows that her game is improving at just the right time for her season goals.

"Lee was open earlier this week about the desire to make the Solheim Cup team later this year," stated Beth Ann Nichols on X. It made it clear what she wants to accomplish in the coming biennial tournament.

This success comes after an impressive final day at El Caballero Country Club, where she demonstrated the consistency needed to compete against some of the best players in the world amid her busy travel plans.

The timing is crucial because it has been just one year since Lee gave birth to her son, Levi, who made the event even more significant for her personally.

It seems like she is overcoming all difficulties related to the process of getting back on track, especially considering that no mother has achieved success on the LPGA Tour since 2020.

Overcoming Obstacles on the Path to the Green

Postpartum recovery following the birth of her child in April 2025 proved to be a lengthy process for Lee due to the difficulty she faced with her emergency cesarean delivery.

Her recovery period thus resulted in an extended maternity leave, during which Lee had to balance post-surgery recovery with the rigors of professional training.

Before making her much-anticipated comeback to professional golf as an LPGA player, Lee showcased her adaptability by taking on the role of lead analyst at the Golf Channel in the Las Vegas event.

The experience gave her the chance to remain involved in the sport's strategic side and complete her preparations for competition.

Lee did face some practical difficulties with respect to competing. One such occurred during the PIF Saudi Ladies International in February 2026, where Lee lost access to her own clubs in Amsterdam, forcing her to compete with a mixed bag of borrowed and rented equipment.

Undeterred, Lee started her season in early 2026 with a clear objective of becoming a member of the U.S. Solheim Cup team and winning her first-ever LPGA championship. Her performance in Los Angeles indicated the successful beginning of the American tourney.
