Anthony Kim’s return to the limelight has generated plenty of buzz lately. However, it turns out that his latest public appearance received a great deal of attention due to his comment about golfing at its finest.

The American golfer gave an amusing comment at the LIV Golf Korea press conference, implying that the league may consider extending its upcoming season by adding “five more majors.”

Answering questions regarding his future schedule, he caught everyone off guard. "I heard LIV is adding five more majors, so there will be nine majors to go after," Kim joked during the media session.

Of course, Kim was obviously joking with his bold claim. Adding prestigious golf majors would be an enormous challenge for a breakaway league, and no official announcement supports this dramatic expansion.

In reality, the opposite scenario seems to take place. According to recent reports, LIV seeks to cut the number of golf tournaments it holds during the season from 13 to 10 in order to lower operational expenses.

This is because the Public Investment Fund has decided not to continue its financial backing beyond the year 2026. Thus, making sure that the league can sustain itself in the long run is one of its main priorities.

Kim Reflects on Heritage and Family Roots 

Even though Kim resorted to humorous remarks in order to deal with an overload of responsibilities, the trip to Busan has a much deeper personal meaning for the golfer who plays for the 4Aces GC team.

Competing on Korean soil has allowed the golfer to reflect intensely on his ancestral background and early life lessons.

Kim owes a lot of his character traits to the inspiring examples set during his early years. "A lot of the work ethic I've gotten and the belief in myself I've gotten is from my mother," he explained regarding his inner drive.

Another significant aspect of the trip is the invaluable educational experience he intends to impart to his daughter. Kim is eager to show her the unique elements of his ancestral land while he spends time there with her.

According to Kim, the Korean people are known for their hard-working culture, which he wishes his daughter would inherit and emulate in her life.

"I'm very proud that I picked that up in my mom or else I wouldn't be sitting here today," Kim added emotionally.

The deep family inspiration continues to fuel his character as he navigates his ongoing professional comeback.
