Over a year after his return to golf, Anthony Kim spoke to Matt Fisher on MrShort.
And Kim revealed details behind his motivation and feeling more like a pro-golfer after his return.
“I think, probably six weeks ago, eight weeks ago, I hit about 10-12 holes in a row where what I was working on in the practice rounds and at home, finally started coming out on the course, where it wasn’t luck. It was exactly what I was trying to do.”

This comes on the back of Kim admitting to feeling frustrated just a few weeks ago. Despite finishing in the top 5 at the Saudi International, Kim wasn't happy with the putts. And now, he thinks he may have found the answer.
“It doesn’t mean I made birdie. But I was playing the way that I was practising. And to finally see that come into tournaments was really nice.”
For a player whose comeback has been closely scrutinized, Kim’s comments reveal a more internal benchmark for progress.
But what does 2026 have in store for Anthony Kim
The Saudi International was his first top-five finish in over a decade, and his first top 10 since returning in 2024. He produced rounds of 67, 64, and 69 in 13-under, with four birdies and three bogies.
However, his performance at LIV Golf wasn’t as impressive. That’s why he failed to cut the 2026 LIV Golf League. Yet, there’s a plan for the upcoming season with the Asian Tour’s International Series.
During the Singapore Open, Anthony Kim announced, "I am going to play some events (on the International Series and Asian Tour in 2026), but it is a long way over here.”
"So, as much as I want to compete, you know, part of my comeback to golf is being with my family. And it is a lot of trouble for the family, so we will pick some events to play."
