Charley Hull's bond with her caddie is so strong, she's even joked about retiring. The World No. 4 golfer explained why the partnership is so crucial, from on-course arguments to celebratory steak dinners.

The World No. 4 golfer has been quite open about her close relationship with Woodward. In fact, she even described him as the foundation on which her professional life has been built.

"If he couldn't caddie anymore, I think I'd just be like, right, I'm retiring because I feel like no one else could caddie for me," Hull said in her pre-tournament press conference.

Hull has thrived on the easy-going nature of her relationship with Adam Woodward and has said, "I just like how chilled he is on the golf course and how we can laugh over a bad shot."

The two have rarely disagreed, but Hull recounted one instance in which she lost her cool. She even admitted to saying some harsh things in front of a large crowd during the British Open.

Adam took the insult in the right spirit and retorted to the crowd, "I guess I am one," which momentarily diffused. "I did apologize to him because at the end of the day it's my choice for choosing that club, but yeah, he's a great caddie," said Hull.

The pair also know how to celebrate their success off the course. Hull, following her win in Riyadh, opted for a low-key celebration night, and then took Adam to Prime Steakhouse in Las Vegas for a meal as her birthday treat.

The duo enjoyed a bone-in Wagyu ribeye, with Hull commenting, "I saved myself all day, and I didn't eat because I just wanted to finish my whole steak."

Hull even got Adam to order a soufflé, which was a joyous moment to end a busy period, coming as it did after her recent 30th birthday celebrations at home. 

With the major season looming, Hull believes this challenging course is an excellent opportunity to work on both her physical and mental game with her trusted caddie.
