Are products from Takomo Golf better than the well-established Callaway Golf?

Popular YouTube golf crew Bob Does Sports has partnered with Takomo Golf, and soon will have the answer.

On 15 January 2026, the YouTube channel’s crew – Robbie Berger (Bobby Fairways), Nick Stubbe (Fat Perez), and Joseph Demare (Joey Coldcuts) – announced an official partnership with Takomo Golf. With this decision, they’ll likely shorten their representation of Callaway Golf, which they have been doing for the last three years.

Reflecting on the partnership, Season McCullum, Chief Marketing Officer at Takomo Golf, stated, “When we first heard news that there was a group of wild lads, cruising around golf courses and muckbanging 59 doughnuts across an 18, we knew we needed to collaborate.”

“The BDS boys are all about showing people a new way to enjoy golf. That speaks to us here at Takomo, and we’re excited about the alignment and the future of what we can do together.”

On top of that, Takomo Golf went on record to state that Berger will probably break around 80 Takomos. But that’s just the brand’s faith in the comedic golfers. Joonas Laasila, the Head of Partnerships at Takomo Golf, hinted that the brand has high hopes and big plans for Bob Does Sports.

In the past few years, the golf industry has experienced a major shift in the way that brands interact with consumers. This is from the major equipment giants like Titleist, Callaway, and TaylorMade, to direct-to-consumer brands, or smaller brands that target specific niche audiences.

This new model sees collaboration between these smaller brands and online influencers. They, with millions of followers, are a more interactive way of marketing that appeals to a younger demographic of next-gen golfers.

So, what can we expect? The new partnership specifies exactly which clubs the crew will carry.

What Will Bob Does Sports Carry to the Golf Course in Their Videos?

According to the reports, Bobby Fairways will carry the brand new Takomo 201 MKII irons, and Fat Perez will play with the 301 CB. However, Joey Coldcuts will play with a left-handed 101T for a few weeks. That’s until the company makes the 201 MKII available for left-handed golfers. And all three of them will carry the Takomo SF002 wedges.

The 201 MKII is the choice of iron that golfers with a handicap of 5-25 usually take. Meanwhile, the 301 CB is a player’s cavity-back iron. Both of these clubs come with KBS shafts and are priced at $649. But in the near future, many more products might appear on Bob Does Sports.

The partnership signals Takomo’s growing confidence in competing with legacy brands. With Bob Does Sports onboard, the spotlight now shifts from hype to on-course performance.
