Last week, LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil dismissed rumors of the Saudi PIF planning to halt funding for the league. Now, Ripper GC's Lucas Herbert has revealed how everyone, including the league's biggest players, isn't going anywhere.

During a player meeting on Monday at the LIV Golf Mexico City Players Meeting, Herbert reiterated that the league's biggest stars, including Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, and more.

"All the players are committed to the league. They have had ample opportunities to leave if they want to, but they are still here," Herbert said in an interview with Flushing It Golf.

"Whether they are satisfied with what the organisation is doing and what it is right now or not, they are sticking by it with optimism and belief that collectively we can build it into something we can all be proud of," added the 30-year-old.

He called LIV Golf a "highly competitive tour that goes all over the world." And the Saudi-backed league did expand its global footprint this year.

The league hosted the first-ever LIV Golf South Africa event. Bryson DeChambeau won the tournament, and over 100,000 fans attended the tournament, making it the highest-attended professional golf tournament in the nation's history.

However, Lucas Herbert didn't just speak about the players.

Herbert also made it clear that he stands behind the CEO, Scott O’Neil. “I don’t know who else I would want to run this business if I couldn’t have Scott,” said Herbert.

This endorsement comes after Herbert has seen O'Neil work to make LIV Golf more accessible to the casual fan. "He elevated the brand a lot in the most recent offseason. I think the TV product is so much easier to look at and understand for people who haven’t watched a lot of LIV Gol," added the golfer.

And O'Neil is ready to do more work to secure the league's future. "The reality is you're funded through the season, and then you work like crazy as a business to create a business and a business plan to keep us going," he said last week.

In fact, O'Neil is confident that stars like DeChambeau will stay with the league. "He loves LIV Golf, and I’m pretty confident we’ll find a solution," he told TNT Sports at LIV Golf Mexico City.

So while the rumors on LIV Golf's stability circulate, the players and the CEO seem confident in the league.
