Sebastian Korda and Jessica Korda have revealed Nelly Korda's kryptonite, as they opened up on their sibling rivalry.
On The Korda Sibling Showdown by Golf Digest Studio, the two-time major champion revealed a friendly interaction with her brother. But surprisingly, she cringed at the thought of it.
She recalled, “I see Seb, he comes up to me, tries to kiss me on the cheek. I'm like, ‘Get away from me.’”
The tennis professional claimed that Nelly Korda had to “break that barrier right away” to be free. And that was her kryptonite. The LPGA world number two was never really the “affectionate type.”
Jessica Korda dove in and revealed that their family is used to pinning her sister down and showing her affection. Sebastian confirmed that everyone would “get on top of” Nelly and plan a “few kisses on her cheek.” But Nelly was never a fan of it.

This pushed Jessica to state, “If you ever wanted to punish her, it was definitely like affection."
The Korda siblings have established themselves as strong athletes. And while Sebastian moved to tennis, Jessica and Nelly have remained in golf.

How Do Nelly Korda and Her Sister Manage Their On-Course Rivalry?
Nelly Korda joined the LPGA Tour in 2017. In contrast, her older sister joined the tour six years ahead of her. And before Nelly’s induction, the duo never had to compete against each other. But even though their competition was tough, they had to uplift each other.
During her appearance on the Back Where Golf Began in St Andrew’s podcast (in 2024), Jessica Korda claimed, “If, like, either one of us were down, like you would see the other one on the range or on the putting green with the other one, like, we were never Okay, bye. Like you, you suck today. Like, see you later. Yeah, we were always, like, uplifting each other.”
Their sibling rivalry thrives on humor, affection, and mutual support. Despite competing at the highest level, Nelly and Jessica Korda push each other forward while keeping family bonds strong on and off the course.
