Hannah Green is coming off with four wins in the past five events. Now that she will be attending the Chevron Championship, she seeks advice to tackle the difficult Texan terrain. For this, she reached out to Australian men’s star Min Woo Lee.

Green has come to The Woodlands full of confidence, having secured the JM Eagle LA Championship. Yet, she wanted a thorough briefing regarding the tricky course and approached Lee, the 2025 PGA Tour Winner, who won last year’s Houston Open on the same layout.

“Min Woo is really known for how far he hits it off the tee, but he says it himself, he’s probably not the most accurate player, which is kind of somewhat like me – I’m not probably the most accurate off the tee,” she said.

It was followed by the golden advice from Lee.

"He said the fairways are pretty generous. The rough wasn't too thick for when they played," Green shared.

She appreciated his opinion because they have some common traits, including long drives with occasional inaccuracy.

It is especially important at the moment, since the course is playing long due to excessive rain. She is focusing on handling this challenge while praying for the fairways to harden before the first day.

Apart from Lee, her caddie, David Buhai, also offered unique insight into the course after caddying in the men's tournament there.

"Some of the tee boxes are similar to what the men played," he added.

Green has piled up multiple wins recently. It's only mid-April, and she has won four times worldwide already. But when it comes to winning a major title, she has not won any since the 2019 Women's PGA Championship. So, how is she now viewing the Houston challenge?

"I think probably coming into this week before last week, I was probably thinking, okay, a top 10 result would be really good," Green said. "Obviously now I'm more hungry to continue the success that I've had so far."

Green knows that, in the LPGA Tour, the distance would be a tough test for them all. She pays careful attention to how the mud will affect her game plan. Green focuses on staying calm despite the added pressure from her latest win.

“Staying patient out there is what have to do to win major championships, so that’s what I’m going to try and focus on,” she said.

It's now to be seen how Green applies the advice she received from Lee.
