Tyrrell Hatton's sharp wit was on full display at a recent LIV Golf press conference. A joke about needing a hair transplant quickly turned into a candid admission about his desire to win the Masters. The moment revealed how badly the Englishman wants a green jacket.

During a LIV Golf press conference in South Africa, Jon Rahm teased Hatton about a possible hair transplant, which led to a discussion of the Englishman's career goals.

Hatton, never one to shy away from the joke, noted, "I didn't realize you needed hair to play good golf," and then confessed he would give up all the vanity in the world to grab a Master's green jacket at Augusta.

The conversation happened while the Legion XIII team was getting ready for the upcoming event scheduled at The Club at Steyn City, where the conversation topics were the 2026 Masters and people's looks.

Hatton admitted that, although he jokes about himself, the challenge of winning a major is one he has to contend with as he nears his 10th go at the prestigious tournament.

Tyrrell Hatton's self-deprecating humor was on display as he turned a joke about his appearance into a confession about his Masters goals.

Tyrrell Hatton Reflects on Augusta National

While reflecting on his prior experiences at Augusta, Hatton shared a 2023 memory that stands out as one of the most significant professional career regrets.

He remembered being in the first group to tee off on the 10th hole on Sunday, which gave him the chance to go around again and see the final championship pairing of Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka.

"Probably one of the biggest regrets of my career so far is not taking a picture of Jon and Brooks on the Sunday in '23," Hatton said when asked about it.

The Englishman said it was surreal to be so close to the leaders, adding: "I kind of thought that was the closest I would ever be to a final group on a Sunday."

He aims to be at the course this Sunday for a practice round with his partner, Tom McKibbin, with the ambition to turn his previous insight into the leaders' race into his own title chase.
