South Korea’s Ina Yoon has caught significant attention after opening the 2026 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship with a record-tying 63 in her first round.

Yoon is currently near the top of the leaderboard at 10 under in the final round, three strokes behind leader Hae Ran Ryu.

The 23-year-old is still on the lookout for her maiden LPGA Tour title, but has already enjoyed a strong start to her career. Since earning her card with an eighth-place finish at the LPGA Q-Series in 2025, Yoon has accumulated approximately $1.5 million in career earnings, along with five top-10 finishes and 15 top-25s.

In her rookie season, she earned approximately $567,000 across 26 starts. Nearly a third of that total came from the majors, led by a T14 finish at the U.S. Women's Open presented by Ally that brought in approximately $179,000.

She also picked up roughly $40,000 from the Amundi Evian Championship and Chevron Championship combined, though she missed the cut at the season's other two majors.

Yoon has already earned almost $912,000 in 2026 through just 11 starts, more than she made during the entire 2025 season. Two of her biggest paydays came in April. She earned approximately $253,000 for a solo fourth-place finish at the JM Eagle LA Championship and about $393,000 for a T4 finish at the Chevron Championship.

Besides that, she has made 10 of her 11 cuts in 2026, including four top-10 finishes according to her official LPGA profile.

Yoon's additional earnings before the LPGA journey

The $1.5 million from the LPGA Tour is only part of what Yoon has earned in her career.

Before she ever played an LPGA event, she was one of the best players on the KLPGA Tour. When she returned to the KLPGA after a brief suspension in 2024, Yoon dominated the tour.

In 2024 alone, she topped the KLPGA money list by bringing home 1.2 billion won, or roughly $860,000 USD, in prize money. She also won the Wemade Awards, best scoring average on tour, and the 11th Jeju Samdasoo Masters.

During the stretch between her suspension and KLPGA return, Yoon relocated to Tampa, Florida, and competed on the Minor League Golf Tour, a men's circuit where she was the only woman. She earned approximately $13,000 and donated the entire amount to girls' junior golf programs.
