John Daly's lifestyle is as unconventional as his golf swing. He prefers to live out of his truck rather than pulling into a fancy mansion. Most of Daly's peers in the sporting world enjoy lavish houses.

Daly's is most comfortable behind the wheel of his big rig. It's a custom 45-foot, 20-ton motorhome, which he nicknamed the "Wild Thing." Daly's bus is also his home for the duration of the PGA Tour.

He has a long-standing reputation as a two-time Major champion who drives his huge motor home all across the country instead of flying.

In a 2016 interview with Graham Bensinger, Daly gave a rare, behind-the-scenes tour of his personal living quarters. Daly showed off a California King bed that barely fits the space but provides the firm support he needs.

The motor home is a fully functional suite, equipped with a toilet, a bathroom, a shower, and even a washer and dryer. For Daly, the vehicle provides a sense of consistency that his permanent residence in Dardanelle, Arkansas, does not offer.

In addition, the RV acts as a mobile hub for his various business ventures and personal comfort. He keeps the bus stocked with his signature "John Daly" cocktails, which he has been expanding into dozens of states.

Daly's record-setting drives and RV choice echo Daly's habit of doing things his own way. As an Arkansas rookie, Daly practiced his sand shots on the local baseball field.

His one-of-a-kind approach to life has found expression in the memorabilia that fills his actual house, from Terry Bradshaw jerseys to BB King's guitars. He has encountered all the legends in his collection, yet the quiet of the bus remains his ultimate preference.

None of the golfing legends has committed to life in an RV like Daly. His RV lifestyle exemplifies his yearning for simplicity and control amid the disorder that accompanies professional golf.

Most certainly, the immediate future for the veteran pro involves another extensive journey to another tournament.

Whether traveling down the highway or parked in his own driveway, Daly will undoubtedly be sleeping peacefully in the deadhead of his infamous motorcoach.
