Jordan Spieth doesn’t just play well at Augusta National Golf Club. He thinks differently there. And that shift is exactly what has made him one of the most dangerous players at The Masters Tournament.

The Texas native excels at the unique mental challenges he encounters. Spieth recently joined SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio to talk about what makes the Masters Tournament bring out his best golf.

"I think everybody's juices are flowing when they get there," Spieth explained. He believes that his first major of the season brings out the best in all competitors.

The three-time major champion opened up further on his winning ways in an appearance on "Gravy & the Sleeze." The program's hosts, Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz, asked Spieth how he manages his consistency.

Augusta's course design helps Spieth think clearly. He makes tough plays more easily when the course demands his full attention.

"Augusta, for whatever reason, when I'm picking a shot, I'm like, 'Oh yeah, I can fully commit to that. That feels right,'" he further added.

Jordan Spieth won The Masters Tournament in 2015 and has been in the mix at Augusta National Golf Club almost every time he’s returned. He has come close again more than once, with finishes near the top of the leaderboard in the years since.

Pursuing Another Green Jacket in 2026

Spieth’s record at the Masters is one of the best in modern golf history. His 2015 tournament win matched the tournament scoring record, as he dominated from start to finish.

Since the win, Spieth has had many top-five finishes at the Masters. His game is well-suited for the course's hilly greens.

The field for the 2026 tournament is shaping up to be highly competitive. While many golfers are in top form, few have Spieth's course knowledge.
