Justin Thomas Reveals What Makes Tiger Woods's Son Charlie Stand Out Even to Tour Pros

Justin Thomas believes Charlie Woods already has the skills to stand out among the pros. On March 4, the major champion revealed what makes Tiger's son a unique talent.
Justin Thomas and Charlie Woods have a camaraderie that goes beyond the standard mentorship. That's allowed Thomas to observe the teenager's improvement firsthand.
Appearing on The Smylie Show, Thomas remarked, "The shots that he can hit, it's a lot of guys on tour can't hit it," praising the young phenom's talent.
While discussing his relationship with Charlie, he mentioned his input, acting like a sounding board, akin to the mentors he used during his ascent.

Thomas mentioned that he was fortunate to have some old-timers to consult for wisdom, and he tries to extend the same strategic perspective to Tiger's son.
Thomas added that having a Major winner as a mentor provides opportunities that a high school teammate cannot.
The Evolution of a Junior Phenom
For several years, Thomas has monitored Charlie's development, even sharing videos of the eight-year-old's unblemished swing with his contacts.
With Thomas remaining affectionate towards Charlie, he quips, referring to the now more grown-up teen, "He is still a little punk, but not a punk kid at all."
While he playfully teases Charlie, Thomas acknowledges the significant improvement in the teenager's maturity and his golf skills.
This skill was evident when they played together, as Charlie shaped shots with near-professional technique.
Thomas humorously remarked on the professional interest in Charlie, saying, "I guess I needed to open the checkbook or something" when recruiting the young star to the University of Alabama.
With the professional ranks watching Charlie's every move, Thomas's admission sets the stage for a future where the student may finally be ready to outplay the mentors themselves.
