Kai Trump is speaking about the timing behind her move from the golf course to the digital space. Although her fans know her for her powerful golf swings, her first social media post seemed a bit staged.

The young athlete revealed that her ambition to create digital content began in her early childhood. 

However, that ambition required her to achieve a significant professional milestone in sport. In a way, she was waiting for the right sporting opportunity before she launched her personal brand.

It was during her Q&A session that she was able to get this determination from her followers. "After really once I committed for golf, I felt like I was in a good spot that I could actually spend time doing it," Trump said.

This move was made once she secured her future in collegiate golf. This changed the way she could combine her passion for entertaining with the grueling training for the sport. She talked about this in her YouTube video, "Answering your most asked questions!"

She has been using the various platforms available to her to share her experiences, the most recent of which includes recovering from major wrist surgery performed in early January. She is coping well with the particular stresses of having a professional career and still stays focused on her career goals.

Constraining factors of social media and the protean training culture have not moderated her training and health behaviors. She can be seen regularly on social media sharing her daily protein goals. She is appreciative of her immediate family for keeping her grounded as her social media influence grows.

A New Chapter at the University of Miami

Trump will begin her studies at the University of Miami this August after completing her high school education and relocating to Florida. She will pursue a dual degree in marketing and further her aspirations to join the LPGA.

Targeting her education toward business and brand management is a means to her dream of becoming an entrepreneur. She views this as an opportunity to hone the skills necessary to elevate the social media accounts she has created.

The next few months will involve a lot of her rehabilitation. She can only practice her putting for the duration of her cartilage healing and is hopeful to begin taking full swings by May to resume posting golf-related content.

By remaining authentic to herself and her athletic roots, Trump has successfully transformed a childhood passion into a flourishing venture. As she progresses toward professional golf, her social media remains a means of engagement, rather than a diversion.
