LeBron James is no stranger to making headlines on the basketball court. But he has now been turning heads in the golfing world as well. During a recent golf round at Bandon Dunes, he came close to recording a hole-in-one.
A telling sign of his love for the sport came when the NBA star uploaded a video of his recent golf round at The Preserve at Bandon Dunes, the Oregon resort's par-3 course. He uploaded the video of his near-miss hole-in-one on his Instagram story.
"Almost had my first hole in 1 today. I called it before I swung it too! Damn close," James wrote in his caption.

As per the video reposted by Ziregolf on their Instagram page, LeBron James captured his tee shot, which came agonizingly close to making it close to the cup.
James' passion for the sport hasn’t gone unnoticed. In fact, multiple indoor golf facilities have reached out to him and offered free access to their facility.
What started as a hobby for LeBron James has now become something more serious, sparking golf fans' interest in the NBA star.
As soon as the clip began circulating on social media, the golf fans began reacting to James' swing.
Golf fans react to LeBron James' near-miss hole-in-one
Several fans took to the comment section of the video posted by Ziregolf's Instagram account, and shared their reaction to the near miss.
One quipped that James' son, Bronny James, who accompanied his father at the golf course, had to have picked up his golf skills from somewhere else.
They wrote, "Bronnie obviously received lessons from somebody else. "
Another fan was curious about what happened after the near miss.
"The real question everyone wants to know is did he make the putt?" they asked.
Yet another fan pointed out how much James' swing has improved from when he first began playing the sport.
They wrote, "This is what golf addiction looks like Not surprising that his swing is already looking worlds better!"
A fan also gave the NBA legend a reality check, pointing out how these moments play out once you reach the ball.
"That’s when you get up there and realise it’s 20 feet away and all that excitement was for nothing," the fan wrote.
One fan took it a step further joking about their own golf pride being on the line.
"I swear if he gets a hole in one before me I’ll quit golfing….," they commented.
