Lexi Thompson stepped away from full-time competition at the end of the 2024 LPGA season, closing a career that spanned 14 years. She leaves an outstanding financial legacy as a golfer.

Having become a professional at only 15 years old, Thompson has ranked among the world's highest-earning female athletes, officially earning $15.5 million on the golf course during her career.

Her financial success is attributed to 11 wins on the LPGA Tour, including her major victory at the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, which earned her a $300,000 winner’s check.

Data from the official LPGA website reveals how much success she had enjoyed over fourteen seasons, making her one of the best-earning players in women's professional golf history.

In May 2024, she announced that she had decided to retire from the full-time LPGA Tour at the end of the season to concentrate on her personal life. She has opted to play only selectively on the professional tour starting in 2025.

An additional 19 top-10 finishes in major tournaments contribute to her winnings. Lexi Thompson also made history as the seventh woman to compete in a PGA Tour tournament when she played in the 2023 Shriners Children’s Open.
