A familiar face on the international stage delivered a composed performance on his home turf, capturing the 2025 Victorian PGA Championship in Australia.

Marc Leishman's victory came after four steady rounds at Moonah Links, marking the end of a 17-year title drought. The 42-year-old fought for a four-over 76 and won the tournament with a final score of 282 (-5).

Yes, he ended one stroke ahead of runner-up Josh Younger. He carded rounds of 71, 67, 68, and 76, finishing at 5-under-par for the week.

What makes the win even more special is the fact that his father, Paul, acted as his caddie, while his son, Harvey, cheered from the gallery.

The tournament was a part of the busy elite golf period in Australia, with international players increasingly returning home for major events like the Australian Open and BMW Australian PGA Championship.

With the Victorian PGA Championship trophy secured, Leishman will move his attention back to LIV Golf. But before that, he had a few things to say about his recent win.

Marc Leishman Opens Up on His 2025 Victorian PGA Championship Win

It wasn’t an easy day for Leishman. And it was evident when he hit seven bogeys in the final round of the tournament. Yet, he kept on hoping to shoot better. His stance steadily became stronger and ultimately brought him the win.

“I’m really happy to get a victory. I've been playing well for the last ... well, all year really. I've been hitting the ball great these last three weeks in Australia with not a whole lot to show for it results-wise, but it’s nice to walk away with a win here.”
