With 53.3K followers on Instagram and 42.4K subscribers on YouTube, Spud Run Golf has been gaining quite some attention over the past five years. It all began with Jeremy Forcum dreaming about a backyard golf course. Now, the project has turned into one of the most successful Airbnb projects in Ohio. 

Spud Run Golf is not a traditional course or resort, but a fully playable backyard golf layout paired with an Airbnb stay. No wonder it’s dubbed ‘America’s #1 Backyard Golf Course.’ Greens are a defining feature of the course. Built with noticeable movement, they introduce challenge through slopes and run-offs rather than sheer speed. 

What further separates Spud Run from traditional courses is the freedom it affords. There are no tee times, no pace-of-play pressure, and no expectation of formal scoring. Guests can play holes out of order, replay favorites, or treat the layout as a practice ground for short-game work. Each of the nine tees has a different topography, giving players nine different challenges. 

And the visitors absolutely love it. “When they first pull in, they’ll have their phone in hand, taking pictures and videos,” Forcum said. “I’ll hear them say things like, ‘I can’t believe I’m here,’ ‘It looks just like the videos,’ ‘I can’t believe I’m meeting you,’ or they will immediately call one of our dog mascots by their name.”

And most of the time, the guests are repeat visitors, highlighting the allure of Spud Run Golf. “Most of our guests this season (2025) are return visitors,” he said. “They make my life easier by knowing the ropes, so to speak.”

How Can One Book Spud Run Golf for the 2026 Season?

According to Jeremy’s wife, Kim, the process begins directly with the owners. In one of their YouTube videos, Kim revealed, “First of all, you send an email to Jeremy at spudrungolf@gmail.com. Once contacted, Jeremy checks availability and provides guests with the appropriate booking link.

“And then it’s just as simple as following to Airbnb and clicking on the link and booking the site for the dates you want,” Kim added.

For 2026, the cost of staying at Spud Run Golf is $360 per night, providing guests with full access to the property and its backyard course throughout their stay. With limited availability and a seasonal window, demand continues to grow as word spreads among golfers searching for a one-of-a-kind experience.
