Scottie Scheffler Officially Moves On From the TaylorMade Qi10 as He Opens His PGA Tour Season

Scottie Scheffler has rarely changed his golf gear. But now, it’s time for an upgrade. Back in February 2024, he started using the TaylorMade Qi10 driver and won two majors with that.

He has officially entered the 2026 season with a new TaylorMade Qi4D, aiming to use it at The American Express.

The Qi4D is designed to deliver more clubhead speed and consistency across different impact conditions. It uses a 60-layer carbon fiber face and refined head shaping that reduces drag and helps generate longer distances.

Reflecting on the driver, Scottie Scheffler once said, “For me so far this driver's been a really good fit for my eye, and that's always the first test for me. So far the performance has been good, my spin numbers have been really consistent, ball flight's been consistent, and looking forward to getting it in competition.”

The world number one had already tested the Qi4D out during the 2025 Hero World Challenge. And it was doubtlessly a successful event with a T4 finish. But there are a few intricacies that Scheffler asked of the TaylorMade team.

Scottie Scheffler Weighs In on TaylorMade’s New Design

Back in December 2025, Scheffler stated, “Going into this year, I feel like Adrian (Rietveld) and the whole team at TaylorMade had a really good kind of idea of what my eyes needed to see in order for the driver to be able to work. We went through a lot of different kinds of options for what the face needed to be specifically for me and felt like we're in a good spot, and then the testing was a lot simpler this time around for sure.”

Scheffler asked TaylorMade to mirror the Qi10’s blue face design in his Qi4D, prioritizing visual comfort at address. The familiar look helps him trust loft, alignment, and setup before committing to the swing. In the end, the team settled for the same design that Scheffler had with the TaylorMade Stealth in 2022.

Priced at $649.99, the TaylorMade Qi4D has already received five-star reviews on the official website. But are you planning to add it to your golf bag?
