Scottie Scheffler is preparing for the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. However, his most recent comments about a hidden moment at Augusta National have piqued the golfing community's interest.
The World No. 1 shared unique insights into his experience hosting the Masters Champions Dinner. This event is infamous for its exclusivity and the significance of the dinner in golf history.
Scheffler, explaining the event, said he "snuck" his wife Meredith into the room so she could see the result of their dinner planning.
"I kind of snuck Meredith up there, let her see, because she kind of helped me plan out a lot of the food and all that stuff," Scheffler said at the press conference.

He noted that he 'snuck her up the back' of the clubhouse to show her the setup before the game legends arrived for the private event.
This covert tour granted Meredith access to the legendary venue she helped shape, although the dinner itself is one of the most closely protected customs in sport.
Strategic Seating Protocols at Augusta
The dinner's seating plan has merit, as Scheffler observes that, 'guys kind of have like, I would say, sections where they sit'.
Scheffler is conscious of the rank order, commenting that he is 'definitely not going to go sit in the section where Tiger and Jack are'.
In 2024, he managed the room by requesting a seat from Zach Johnson, deliberately skipping over Jordan Spieth so as not to have his friend' mess with' him during the dinner.
These social subtleties bring out the particular sense of tension of the evening, which Scheffler recalls as 'nerve wracking' as he sat next to the chairman, as well as Ben Crenshaw.
Currently, Scheffler has his sights set on the present, attempting to confirm his past accomplishments with yet another solid performance at Bay Hill this week.
