Sergio Garcia is coming to the fifth season of LIV Golf with a never-before-seen ball at Riyadh. And apparently, that brand requires a $2,800 annual subscription. 

The ball will come from Underground Golf, a private, membership-based brand that has opted to remain exclusive instead of pursuing traditional sales. And the founders of the club? It’s Mark Wahlberg, the former co-founder of Clear Golf Balls, Garry Singer, and the owner of Meijer Supermarkets, Doug Meijer. 

Unavailable to the general public, these balls will be made available to invited club members for $2,800. And that will supply them with 12 dozen boxes of the exclusive balls, supposed to last a year. 

Garcia even talked about it through an Instagram video (released on Underground’s profile). He said, "You would think that after 26 seasons as a professional, not many things excite me about golf anymore or equipment.”

"But I do have to say that this year I'm very, very excited about one thing in particular. Which is joining the Underground club. And with my buddy Mark Wahlberg, among others, this is the golf ball I'm gonna be playing, super excited about it."

With LIV Riyadh being the debut game for Underground, Wahlberg highlighted the week’s importance as he welcomed the Fireballs GC captain over to the club.

Getting the spotlight against the Taylormade TP5 balls is certainly a moment that the founders wouldn’t want to miss. After all, the TP5 has often outpowered the Pro V1, becoming TaylorMade’s fastest and longest ball. And Wahlberg claimed that it’s going to be “a big week for the Underground.” 

“Our guy Sergio Garcia is about to put this Precision golf ball into play at the first event for the LIV tour. After that, it's Augusta, and there'll be many wins after that. The big win is to be a member of the Underground."

As Garcia makes the switch, he brings rare visibility to Underground’s exclusive ball. His switch highlights golf’s growing appetite for premium, access-driven equipment partnerships.
