Jennifer Kupcho is praising major hospitality upgrades at the 2026 ShopRite LPGA Classic. The defending champion highlighted that the perks enhance the player experience at the Seaview Hotel & Golf Club.
The title sponsor, ShopRite, has committed $250,000 to boost the purse, bringing it to $2 million. During her pre-tournament press conference on Wednesday, May 27, Kupcho welcomed these financial and comfort upgrades.
"I think it just shows that ShopRite is stepping up, along with all of our partners, stepping up to really raise the game and help those of us that travel all the time make our lives easier."
ShopRite is additionally providing complimentary on-site lodging for all professional golfers in the field, per the official LPGA website. Additionally, a Player Lounge and Player Family Lounge have been put in place at Seaview.
Kupcho highlighted how much this specific accommodation perk simplifies logistics during a hectic tournament week.
"For ShopRite to be able to give us a hotel here on site, it just makes everything easier. You're here; really don't need a car."
Furthermore, the historically held 54-hole tournament would continue the initiative to help female athletes called "Team ShopRite."
As of 2026, the team will consist of LPGA winners Cheyenne Knight and Azahara Munoz, together with Epson Tour pros Gianna Clemente and Rachel Kuehn.

This marks the 35th anniversary of the title sponsorship by ShopRite, solidifying their standing as the oldest sponsor on the circuit. The sponsor has helped raise over $45 million for local charities since 1992.
The tournament held at Galloway will serve as a crucial benchmark for Kupcho's current play. The player aims to use this $2 million event as an effective means to gear up for the coming week's U.S. Open, as she mentioned at the presser.
"I think using this week to get ready for the U.S. Open, back in competition, just to be ready for next week as well."
For Kupcho, this week marks an opportunity to reproduce her stellar performance of last year. Last year, she was able to shoot a remarkable 15-under-par 198 and earn a narrow win by one stroke over Ilhee Lee at Seaview.
The Bay Course will mark the third Donald Ross design course in succession played on this year's tour after earlier competitions in the Kroger Championship and the Mizuho Americas Open.
Kupcho noted that while this short course layout plays easier, the small greens require precise wedge execution. Rain-softened conditions on the Poa annua surfaces will make putting even more complex.
"I also think on these poa annua greens, it also makes them more bumpy, so it's going to be harder to make putts as well if it's wet and soft."
Before the tour moves on to selecting players for the Solheim Cup, the defending champion looks to win another tournament in order to cement their place in the roster for the European tour.
