“Taking a Toll on Me”: Kai Trump Doesn’t Hide Her Feelings as She Goes Through a Tough Time

Kai Trump's recent wrist surgery has taken more than a physical toll.
Taking to her YouTube channel, the 18-year-old LPGA Tour member met with her best friend, Emma, and answered a few questions.
As far as hobbies are concerned, she confessed, "I don’t really have any hobbies."

“Now that I’m injured, I’m realizing, ‘Wow, I don't know what to do with my life.’ It’s been tough now that I’m injured. And it’s kinda taking a toll on me a little. I kind of need to find a hobby.”
Three weeks ago, Kai Trump underwent surgery to her left wrist as a result of injuries to the stabilizing tissues of her ECU tendon and damage to her triangular fibrocartilage complex.
The basic healing process for ECU tendon stabilization and TFCC repair usually takes three to four months. Additionally, another couple of months are needed for progressive rehabilitation, depending on the condition of the wrist.
The injury becomes especially tough considering she recently made her professional golf debut at the 2025 Annika, shooting rounds of 83 and 75 to miss the cut. Nevertheless, she seemed grateful for the opportunity to compete alongside the best golfers on the LPGA Tour.
However, that hasn't kept her from enjoying different sports in her downtime.
Kai Trump Was At the College Football Finals With Her Grandfather
In the video, she mentioned she's been spending more time with family and friends. That included showing up in support of the Miami Hurricanes at the National Championship Game.
Considering she goes to the University of Miami, her support for the Hurricanes shouldn't be a surprise. Last year, she even posted about the team's trade decisions involving the QB. This time, however, she had to watch as the Hurricanes lost to the Indiana Hoosiers.
Present alongside were her grandfather, President Donald Trump, her aunt, Ivanka Trump, and a few more members of the family.
